yeah, I mean — if you entered the animal’s picture today AND got an email immediately saying you’re in the semi-finals then yes, it reeks of scam.
and what does “semi-finals” mean? Is everyone in the semi-finals? Just don’t send them any $$ or purchase anything cause a true contest wouldn’t ever ask you to spend any $$ or buy anything in order to win.

sounds like a promotion to me, not exactly a scam but it’s the close cousin of the internet scam.
