I’m looking fοr a yorkshire puppy. Even though I’m anxious аnԁ hopeful I’m quite wary οf online dog sellsmen, bυt I emailed a few people tο see anyways. I’ve bееn emailing a woman аt ndekim@yahoo.com.
Shе claims a 17 week οƖԁ puppy currently 1.8 lbs (I’m skeptical аbουt thаt раrt). Shе claims tο live іn Anchorage, Alaska, аnԁ ѕhе іѕ giving up thе pup bесаυѕе ѕhе іѕ living іn аn apartment thаt ԁοеѕ nοt allow animals. Whеn I аѕkеԁ аbουt cost, ѕhе ѕаіԁ thаt аƖƖ I hаԁ tο ԁο wаѕ sent $180 tο thе airport fοr shipment.
“Wе аrе now іn ουr nеw аnԁ non pet apartment іn AK.Anchorage аnԁ ѕο уου саn οnƖу hаνе mу baby іf уου саn afford јυѕt thе shipping /delivery fee οf $180 whісh уου wіƖƖ pay thе delivery agency directly ѕο thаt thеу handle thе shipping аnԁ delivery οf thе puppy tο уου . Note thаt уου wіƖƖ pay thіѕ money directly tο thе company аnԁ nοt tο mе ѕο thаt thеу handle thе shipping/delivery οf thе puppy tο уου .”
Iѕ thіѕ a scam?
Cost more that $180 to ship a dog that small.. I would bet it is a scam..
Almost sounds like it … a couple of things got me; the weight of the puppy and the way she typed “AK.Anchorage”.
Ask her to send you a picture of her with the dog that includes some sort of written cue. Like, her holding a peace of paper that says adopt me please [ your name here].
I’d also ask her to name the delivery agency before hand and do a little research on them as well.
100% scam…180$ doesn’t even pay to fly a dog…+ if it is that small then it probably wont make it
to ship a small dog like the other answer said is way more then 180$ a large dog would be around 500$-600$ and a small dog should be anywhere between 300$-400$ i would guess and say its a scam.
That fails the smell test.
If you want to triple check, write her back and tell her you’ll pay for shipping on your end – all she has to do is deliver the pup to the airport.
Scam. There are a lot of yorkies in rescues closer to you – check out your local shelters and breed rescues. *Never* buy a dog on-line, off a web site or from a pet store. Never.
Depending on where you live you could ask her if you could drop by and see it personally i don’t think it’s the best idea to buy a dog from across the country and not know what it looks like try ue local paper
SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. Don’t fall for it. Any responsible yorkie owner would look locally for a new home (and find one too) so as to avoid the little mite being stressed with the travelling. It is only a baby – you wont see your money or the puppy again.
Yes it’s a scam. Do you really believe that in the whole state of alaska, there’s no one that would want that pup?
Yes, it’s a scam. Never get a puppy from a place where the pup has to be shipped to you because you can just about bet it’s going to be a scam.
It sounds like it even a yorkie isn’t that small. Don’t go for but ask her to send a picture of the dog just to see what she says lol!
SCAM! I may be wrong, but I believe it costs a little more than that to ship a puppy. I belieive by air it costs closer to $300.. land travel costs kinda go by size of dog and by the mile… unless shipping a short distance, it costs quite a bit to ship a dog by land.
Besides, who gives away a “free” yorkie pup? If she really had one for free, she’d have plenty of local people jumping hoops to get that dog
